Track and Field (6-Week Skillset Regime)
Week 1-2: Sprinting Techniques
- Sprint Starts: Proper stance and acceleration mechanics.
- Form Running: Arm drive, knee lift, and posture.
- Short Sprints: 100m and 200m sprint drills.
Week 3-4: Middle Distance & Field Events
- 800m Training: Pacing, endurance, and strategy for longer sprints.
- Long Jump/Triple Jump: Takeoff techniques and form through the air.
- Shot Put/Discus: Proper throwing techniques and form.
Week 5-6: Relay & Competition Prep
- Relay Exchanges: Baton passing, coordination, and communication.
- Endurance Work: Training for the 400m and 1500m distances.
- Mock Meet: Simulated competition to prepare for tournament.
- Breaks: Fruit and water breaks after each event, sports drink and sandwiches after longer
sessions.
League Olympics will be coordinated for all age groups pertaining to each training package.
