Tournament Rules & rEGULATIONS

• Games will start on time scheduled with a 15 minute run time before team forfeit
• There will be four 10 minute quarters; Overtime: 5 Minutes

Tournament Play: 

- 8 teams play each other once, 8th place is disqualified, 1st place gets a bi week 

• 1st - Bye Week
• 2nd v 7th 
• 3rd v 6th 
• 4th v 5th
• 8th - Disqualified 
• If wins and loss standings are tied, team with most points in wins will take lead in standings
• Winner of 2nd place vs 7th place will play winner of 3rd place vs 6th place
• Winner of 4th place vs 5th place will play 1st place in Semi Finals
• Individuals who sign up to play must be the same individuals throughout the tournament. No New players can be added or be provided Uniforms registered to another player. 
• Uniform Jersey and shorts must be worn in games. 
• Winning team will receive trophy and split the cash prize evenly with 8-10 player roster
• Finals MVP will be provided an additional cash prize and trophy
• Coach is not required to pay entry fee but must be at all games to receive $100 cash prize

Shot Clock: 30 seconds, with specific rules for resetting to 20 if ball hits the rim on shot attempt

Basket Interference: Using the rim to gain an advantage is now explicitly a violation, goaltending

• Player Fouls: 5 personal fouls result in disqualification.
• Team Fouls/Bonus: One-and-one bonus begins on the 7th team foul in a half; double bonus (two shots) begins on the 10th foul.
• Flagrant Fouls: Contact to the groin can now be penalized as a Flagrant 1 (two shots + possession) or Flagrant 2 (ejection + two shots + possession)
• Clear Path, Intentional foul: An intentional foul in NCAA grants the opposing team two free throws and possession of the ball.
• Continuation: Players who end their dribble while driving toward the basket can absorb contact, pivot or take their step, and complete a field goal attempt, with the basket counting if it goes in

• The team that loses the initial jump ball automatically gets possession at the next jump-ball situation. 
• 3 Second Violation: An offensive player cannot remain in the opponent’s restricted area (the key/lane) for more than three consecutive seconds while their team has control of the ball in the front court
• 5 Second Violation: The count applies only when the player is holding the ball, not while they are dribbling.
• Reset: The 5-second count resets if the defender switches, the defender moves away.

No Fighting will be tolerated
